History of Tents
Tents were used at least as far back as the early Iron Age. The Roman Army used leather tents, copies of which have been used successfully by modern re-enactors. Various styles developed over time, some derived from traditional nomadic tents, such as the yurt.
Most military tents throughout history were of a simple ridge design. The major technological advance was the use of linen or hemp canvas for the canopy versus leather for the Romans. The primary use of tents was still to provide portable shelter for a small number of men in the field - like Jesse and Hunter here.

He's not the kind of guy you see every day - with all that long, flowing hair and those
amazing muscles. You've seen him around campus, but never had the opportunity
to actually meet him. There was lots of buzz among your friends, but it was all
rumor and speculation, and you knew most of it was just rash talking.
You were completely taken off guard when you bumped into him coming out of the
gym. He mentioned that he knew you from Biology lecture and wondered if you
were interested in studying for the midterm.
You? Interested in studying biology? With this guy? You couldn't say "yes" fast enough.
And sure enough, his idea of studying was just as perverted as yours was!
